We are excited to announce that NOMAN is an Island: Race to End HPV is the official charity partner of the Haute Route. It is a massive opportunity to use the recognizable Haute Route platform to expand our message of universal vaccination against the causal agent of 5% of all cancers—HPV. Meanwhile, we’ll be racing on the most famous mountain passes of the Grand Tours.

In 2020, participants can join Team NOMAN as part of the following events:

VENTOUX: 2 - 4 October 2020

The 'Giant of Provence'.

Towering over Provence, Mount Ventoux needs no introduction to fans of the Tour de France, with it's lunar-like landscape hosting some of the most infamous battles in cycling history. Closing out the European cycling season, the Haute Route Ventoux presents a great opportunity to finish your summer in style after taking on all 3 ascents of the mountain over the course of the event, including a solo time trial on Day 3 from Bedoin.

Stage 1: 118km/3100M+

Experience the charming typical villages of Provence before ascending the toughest side of Mount Ventoux. Climbing from Malaucène, riders will be presented with a stiff challenge with a 21km ascent to the summit at an average gradient of 7.5%.

Stage 2: 122KM / 3100M+

Stage 2 features a series of increasing ascents on the Col de la Chaine and Col de Fontaube and the classic and challenging climb of the Col de l’Homme Mort before taking on the Giant. Today’s ascent of Ventoux is also it’s ‘easiest’ - an initial 19km with slopes between 3-4% before reaching Chalet Reynard and the final 6-km assault on the summit above the tree line.

Stage 3: 21.5KM / 1600M+

You against the clock on one of the most famous climbs in all of cycling. The ascent can be split into three distinct sections. Firstly, a 6-km rolling start towards the hairpin bend in Saint-Estève, secondly a winding and steep road through the forest to Chalet Reynard with 9 kilometres at 9-10%, and finally the last 6km above the tree line through the emblematic barren landscape of Mont Ventoux.
