We are thrilled to be joining forces with Olympic gold medallist, Will Satch MBE, who will be tackling the Mediterranean in the 10th anniversary edition of our Barcelona – Ibiza: Row to End HPV in 2023 this July.
Will brings a wealth of experience and international pedigree to his crew, having secured the gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in the stroke seat of the Men’s 8, adding to his bronze medal at London 2012 in the men’s pair, and his three World Championship golds.
His dedication, skill, and passion for the sport is undoubtedly set to be a valuable addition to his boat as they test themselves to their limits in this 3-day race across the Mediterranean, battling the wind, waves, heat, and exhaustion. Will is not the first Olympic gold medallists to take to ocean rowing in the name of preventing 5% of all cancer. He follows in the foot steps of Mark Hunter MBE (2013) and Alex Gregory MBE (2017) in tackling our Barcelona - Ibiza: Row to End HPV.
But NOMAN is more than a race, it is a call to action. We’re honoured to have gained an ally in Will, in the fight to end the devastation caused by the human papillomavirus around the world.
